There were two things I loved about this Peruvian yarn when I first laid eyes on it: 1) the gorgeous shene, and 2) the beautiful, gentle spring colors. Then I touched it, and I really fell in love. This yarn takes soft to a new level, according to my sense of touch. Made of 50% pure pima cotton and 50% tencel, well really now, is it any wonder it feels so graceful? I can imagine the feel of it against my neck as a scarf, around my shoulders as a shawl, draping down my body as a tank top or other blouse. A baby cuddled up in a sweater and hat made of this soft, delectable yarn would sleep with the smile of an angle ... in my humble opinion. The manufacturer's label reads: "Delicately soft hand; great stitch definition; office, weekend, and special occasion garments; tencel is environmentally friendly, pima is the world's finest cotton." Each hank is 50 grams, 108 yards. The stitch guage is 5 1/4 stitches to the inch on U.S. size 6 needles. Handwash, dry flat. In three scrumptious colors listed below. Price: $5.90 (U.S.) |
