This Peruvian made yarn stood out to me because of the beautiful sheen and elegant colors. When I saw it on the shelf, I couldn't take my eyes off of it and I just had to pick up a hank or two and give them a few squeezes.

It is sumptuously soft and delicate to the touch (fingering weight), and would make a beautifully drapy blouse, sweater, shawl, or scarf.

The manufacturer's label reads, "Excellent stitch definition. Tencel is environmentally friendly, strong, and fashionable. Great weight for shell or tank tops. Year round yarn in most climates."

Made of 50% alpaca and 50% tencel, it is hand washable. Each hank is 50 grams; 108 yards with a stitch guage of 5 1/4 stitches per inch on U.S. #6 needles.
